Rob Patterson co-founds Minalytix, a disruptive force in developing industry-leading mining and exploration software.

Ryan MacVeigh

Chief Executive Officer

Ryan MacVeigh leads WONDERMINDS with a rare blend of strategic clarity and technical depth, shaped by more than a decade of driving digital transformation across global infrastructure, environmental, and technology sectors.

Before WONDERMINDS, he held senior digital leadership roles at WSP and Downer, where he built frameworks that turned strategy into measurable adoption — tightening the loop from insight to repeatable outcomes across dozens of large-scale programs. His work has consistently bridged the worlds of design, data, and delivery to help organizations move faster without compromising safety, trust, or intent.

Ryan's background spans Location Intelligence (GIS), Visualization and Experience, Digital Engineering, Business Intelligence, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Survey & Reality Capture — disciplines he has applied across Earth & Environment, Water, Transportation, Power, Telecommunications, and Property Infrastructure. This breadth allows him to see patterns others miss and to align technology decisions with the human and operational realities beneath them.

As CEO, Ryan brings that same focus to WONDERMINDS: proving value early, protecting clients' time and investment, and fostering the kind of trust that makes collaboration effortless. His leadership philosophy is simple — clarity over complexity, outcomes over outputs, and partnerships built strong enough that everyone would still share a beer when the work is done.

Career highlights include leading New Zealand's first true digital twin (ToiToi Event Centre), the City of Tauranga's three-waters digital transformation, the NZ Transport Agency's Asset Management Data Standards, and the national design platform for New Zealand's Ultra-Fast Broadband rollout.
